Never The Machine Forever

An explanation of cause is not a justification by reason. (C.S Lewis)

Through this blog I wish to express a simple truth. That is, no matter how far our social and cultural evolution has come, we still falter when it comes to our own morality. At no time before in history have we understood so greatly the causes of our sufferings, yet we still fail to grasp the reason as to why.

I do not promise you enlightenment; I would be a fool to do so. All I can offer you is a perspective. One that is bound by my own experiences and learning’s in life.

Madeleine McCann:The Last Hope

An emotional need to replace a child lost, or a monstrous abduction for sick perversions? Will we ever know? Alas, if there is hope, there we will find the truth. Madeleine McCann is symbol of both the good and evil in humanity. It is so much more than a missing child case, it is the need to acknowledge the evil in man, and to simply say, ‘NO’, we will not allow such follies to continue. We are the true reflection of humanity. We need to, or we will lose hope.

Madeleine McCann

A land of the free, unless you don’t fit our criteria.

We advertisie that we are a beautiful nation, ‘where the bloody hell are you?’ Can you blame these people for not trying to come here? They live in horrible conditions, ravaged by war, and poverty.

What does it say about us when we stop someone from starting a new life because we think they will take jobs that we won’t even do ourselves or that their culture is considered barbaric.

If these are our elected leaders, we have a duty to ensure, we do not elect them again.

For those of you who wish to see the financial make up of the Invisible Children organisation, better know as Kony 2012, please click the image. It isn’t the evil organisation that many are attempting to portray, however, they are not as divine as many wish them to be. Overall, they are above average. How quaint.

Kony 2012 isn’t about one man, and his crimes. It’s about all men like him, and their crimes. What this initiative does, is create for us an epiphany, that with the multichannel communication world we live in, we finally have absolute power to change anything. We can stop them. We are the Web.

Where the Baptised Drown

When I first read George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, I began to draw comparisons to what I saw in today’s society and that of the ‘fictitious’ Oceania. After the recent events surrounding Prime Minister Julia Gillard ‘indigenous riot’, I, in utter despair, realise how close to ‘newspeak’ we in fact are.

What began as a peaceful demonstration (though vocal it may have been, still peaceful never the less), turned into what is now one of the most manipulated stories in recent memory, first by the Australian Media, and now the remainder of the western world.

It seems we live in a time where journalistic integrity is only measured by the awe factor the story generates. The institution that should be fighting for the truth, is once again regurgitating leads, rather than doing any form of actual journalism

You have read/heard how windows were pounded in, spears and rocks thrown, and the physical/verbal abuse directed at Prime Minister Julia Gillard. In the below video (click on image or click here) you will see what had occurred. The security detail tripped Ms Gillard over, the police showed aggression to the protestors, and the majority of people chasing the vehicle, where in fact journalists themselves, in the attempt to get that all inspiring shot.

Australian Debate: Multiculturalism or Assimilation

Can a society claim to be tolerant, and then ask one to behave in the confines of what it deems to be appropriate? And if that criteria is not met, is it acceptable to isolate them through aggressive communication, that they should either adapt or leave?

This video is quite incredible. Politics aside, I am aware there are those of you with different political mindsets, which will either defend or condemn what has been seen here. At the very least, this video shows how fortunate we are, and our other western counter parts to live in a society, where we do not need to fear this. How trivial are what we perceive as problems, when compared to this.

If these people want to trade in their civil liberties for anarchy, then they should be susceptible to extreme retaliation from the civil state. Without any protection form the same laws that they have so easily thrown aside.
